Describe
the interaction of magnets in terms of the forces of attraction and
repulsion. The ends of a bar magnet are called poles. The 2 poles of a magnet are called the north and south poles. Magnetism is strongest at the poles of a magnet. A magnet can exert a force on some metals and this force is called magnetism. The north and south poles of different magnets will attract each other. Two north poles will repel each other as will two south poles. |
