Give examples of physical factors that affect the distribution of living things |
| State that a physical factor affecting the distribution of living things is the result of the non-living environment. | |||
| State that a biological factor affecting the distribution of living things is the result of the living things in environment. | |||
| Describe two physical factors affecting the distribution of living things from the following :- |
| 1 | Examine a range of common plants and identify an important environmental factor that affects their distribution. |
| 2 | Fieldwork using quadrats, dataloggers/probes etc. to investigate the the effect of moisture, pH in different soils and the light reaching surface on the variety and abundance of plants. |
| 3 | Design and carry out an investigation into effect of pH, light, temperature, moisture on growth of cress or mustard. |
