G32 - Biotechnology

Energy transfer

I can contribute to the design of an investigation to show the effects of different factors on the rate of aerobic respiration and share my findings with the others in the class.

SCN 309F

G25 - Heat transfer

Energy transfer
I can use my knowledge of the different ways in which energy is transferred between hot and cold objects to design an energy-efficient building.

G25 - Energy Transfer

Energy sources
I have participated in constructing a model to harness a renewable source of energy, and can investigate how to optimise the output. By drawing conclusions from my data and evaluating my design I can consider the commercial potential of this source.
SCN 311G

G19 - Energy sources

Energy sources
Through research and from experimental evidence on combustion, I can summarise arguments and express an informed opinion on the use of renewable and non-renewable energy resources.

G13 - Electricity

Electricity
I can use fault-finding techniques to detect simple faults in electrical appliances and suggest how these might safely be corrected. Using my practical experience of fuses, circuit breakers and earth wires, I can describe the dangers of electricity for the human body, and can present safety advice for others.
