SOC 404C
By studying groups in past societies who experienced inequality, I can explain the reasons for the inequality and consider how successful groups or individuals were in addressing it.

SOC 405C
I can describe the main features of conflicting world belief systems and can consider the consequences of this conflict for societies then and since.

I can make reasoned judgements about how the exercise of power affects the rights and responsibilities of citizens by comparing a more democratic society with a less democratic society.

SOC 407D
I can investigate aspects of a country’s social structure at a time in its history and present supported arguments about how this affected that community.

SOC 408D
I can present conclusions about the social, political and economic impacts of a technological change in the past which I have explored.

SOC 409D
By exploring changes in an industry in Scotland’s past, I can evaluate the impact of the changes.

SOC 410D
I have investigated a meeting of cultures in the past and can debate the impact for the societies involved.
SOC 411E
I have investigated the factors which influenced public opinion and actions in relation to a significant event in the past and can put forward arguments about the importance of freedom of expression.

SOC 412E
Through comparative studies, I can draw conclusions about the changing nature of conflict over time, appreciate its impact and empathise with the experiences of those involved.

SOC 413E
I can describe attempts to resolve an international conflict and maintain the peace and can present my conclusion about how effective these attempts were.
