Browsers

NGfL Scotland websites are best viewed using the following internet browsers:

• Internet Explorer 5.0 or later.
• Netscape 7.0 or later.

The site can be viewed with earlier versions of browsers but users may experience some difficulties in display. Best results will be obtained by upgrading your browser.

The free versions of Internet Explorer 5.1.6 and Netscape 7.0.1 are included on this CD-ROM.

Screen Display

NGfL Scotland websites are best viewed at a screen size (resolution) of 1024 x 768 pixels, which can be adjusted from the Control Panel of your computer.

How to change your Screen Resolution

Mac OS 8 & 9 - choose the Control Panel option from your Apple menu (top left corner of the screen), choose Monitors, then select the 1024 x 768 option from the option in the left hand column.

MacOS X - choose the System Preferences option from the Apple menu, choose Displays, then select the 1024 X 768 option from the left hand column.

You can also increase (or decrease) the text size of pages by selecting View>Text size from the menus at the top of the page.

QuickTime Player

The QuickTime Player plug-in allows you to view movie clips. Quicktime version 5.0.2 has been included on this CD-ROM.
