Attainment Targets

  • B1.1 - extend the mental map by identifying on a map/globe main features/locations, e.g. cities

  • B2.1 - describe main weather elements and some effects on people's everyday lives

  • B2.2 - identify and describe in simple terms major local physical features, e.g. river valley, mountain range, as appropriate

  • B3.1 - describe the main features of transport and the built environment of their local settlement

  • B3.2 - compare and contrast their daily routine with children elsewhere and identify everyday links between Scotland and other countries, e.g. food we eat, schools

  • B4.1 - describe how people use land for work and leisure in the local area

  • B4.2 - give some ways in which everyday resources are conserved or recycled locally, e.g. collection of waste paper
