Place celery into water containing food dye. Leave overnight and observe.

How much colouring will we add?

Examine leaves and stalk of celery. Use microscope or magnifying glass to observe slices of stalk.

What has happened in the stalk and leaves?

How could we observe this more closely?

Is there anything else we could do to see what has happened to the dye?

Draw annotated diagram of what is observed.

Prepare a report on the investigation.
