INTRODUCTION

It is the responsibility of the head teacher and individual teachers to identify their own staff development needs through staff review and self evaluation.

These needs can be met by:

• personal staff development e.g. reading

• training materials e.g. training packs- videos, CD Roms

• school based trainings e.g. peer tutoring or external presenters

• centre based programmes
