Describe the relationship between the Earth’s gravity and the weight of an object
Gravity is a force which pulls you (and everything else) downwards.
The weight of an object is a measure of the gravitational force exerted on it.
Gravity is a force which pulls objects towards the centre of the earth from anywhere on its surface.

 

1 Find out what happens when a ping-pong ball and a golf ball are released from a height of two metres.
2 Establish the link between weight and gravity by using a forcemeter to weigh everyday objects.
